Butterfly World (Admission: $32.50)

Coconut Creek’s claim to fame is that it is the Butterfly Capital of the World (or so they say). Here you can observe many different species of butterflies in the butterfly garden as well as view an extensive collection of preserved butterflies from all over the world. There is a café for refreshments and a beautiful gift shop to explore, as well.

Fern Forest (Free)

This park is full of shaded pathways and boardwalk through local vegetation. There are a variety of ferns and other plants to view, as well as a large shelter/pavilion for shady seating.

The closest beach to EBC is Deerfield Beach. You can stroll along the sand or walk along the adjacent paved sidewalk. The fishing pier is currently closed for renovations.
