In the accordance with what the Bible teaches, we have stated in our Constitution that we will be governed by a body of elders and deacons. Please remember to pray for our officers as they seek to lead the church in accordance with Biblical teaching.

Pastor William Hughes has been in the pastoral ministry for 43 years, having pastored churches in England and Scotland before moving to Florida where he has been ministering at Emmanuel Baptist Church for the past 6 years. He and his wife Alma have three children. Two live in the United Kingdom and one daughter and her husband and their two children live in Italy. 

Pastor Jeff Smith has been a fulltime pastor since 1990 and began ministering in Covenant Reformed Baptist Church, Easley, South Carolina, as a church plant in 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Religion from Gardner Webb College and a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also served on the faculty of Reformed Baptist Seminary and as a contributor to the Reformed Baptist Theological Review. Pastor Smith accepted God's call and was installed as one of the pastors of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coconut Creek, Florida on September 13th, 2009.  He and his wife Kelly have five children, three boys and two girls. The first two born in 1991 (twins) and the last in 2003.

Pastor Robert Diekema graduated from Bob Jones University and has served in the pastoral ministry in Canton, Michigan and now for over 20 years here at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coconut Creek, Florida.  Pastor Diekema and his wife Sara have 3 daughters and 11 grandchildren.
